Improving diagnostic accuracy in ultrasound guided interventions
OUR TECHNOLOGY
Rapid, precise tissue imaging. Delivering confidence to achieve maximal tumour resection
SonoClear's game changing technology
In the vast majority of neurosurgical interventions utilizing ultrasound, physiologic saline or lactated ringers are used as an ultrasound couplant*. Typically, there is an unwanted brightness that is observed at the bottom of the resection cavity, which becomes progressively worse the larger the cavity becomes (enhancement artifact).
Avoid false positives
By improving the image clarity, areas of remnant tumour together with areas with maximal tumour resection can be observed, avoiding potential neural deficit through contact with healthy brain tissue.
With SonoClear® System
Improved image clarity shows the tumour has been removed.

Improves tumour border definition
The SonoClear® System is precision engineered to match the ultrasound characteristics of the surrounding healthy tissue. In doing so, the unwanted brightness (enhancement artifact) is eliminated from the ultrasound image, regardless of ultrasound manufacturer. This improves tumour border definition, highlighting the remnant tumour volume, giving confidence in the surgical decision making.
