Honoured for invention in neurosurgical ultrasound

SINTEF’s prize for outstanding research in 2016 has been jointly awarded to ultrasound researcher Tormod Selbekk at SINTEF and neurosurgeon Geirmund Unsgård at St. Olav's Hospital/NTNU.

Norwegian superfluid is now helping brain surgeons

The fluid, which resembles brain tissue, makes ultrasound images easier to interpret during an operation. This will make it easier for surgeons to remove brain tumours more accurately.
